Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, design, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Bad Weather is the Best Weather

Mist opportunities. We’ve all taken those terrible midday, sun beating down washing out all the color, out the water and creating too harsh of shadow photos. We’ve all also had that dreary day where we’ve lounged around the house do a whole lot of nothing. Next time your faced with gloomy weather, grab an umbrella and go out and explore the world with new eyes. A normally boring patch of trees may become a mystical forest. A mountain side road may now be the edge of the world.

The other huge advantage to going out in bad weather is the lack of crowds. Back in Florida, my favorite time to go the beach was while it was raining. Odd, I know, but if you know Florida the rain will be over as quickly as it started and everyone will have cleared out. You now have the coastline to take all the portrait photos you want without feeling awkward. A lone person, a vast landscape and some moody weather really can make a wonderful photo.
