The lot was sold to Cooney by James D. Scott, who drew Atlas maps. The lot was transferred April 1, 1876 for $250.00. Cooney only lived in the house a few years, having died in 1880, but Mrs Cooney remained until her death on September 20, 1887. The house was then sold for $850.00 to Samuel Lambert on October 1, 1887. The Lambert family then owned the home for 38 years until 1925. Since then it has transferred hands many times with changes being made consistently by new owners. The Bickel family built the kitchen in 1930; the garage was added about 1969; there was then an addition to the kitchen in 1984 and in that year the cedar siding was installed.
