Constructed in 1887 by the famous Potts family, the Franklin Public School served the community until 1970. According to the West Nantmeal Township Historic Commission, all eight grades met in the main level and the school was cited as having the largest rural school library in Chester County. The Wyebrook Grange, #1307 used the upper level from 1906 until 1927. When no longer used as a school, the building served as the home of the Wyebrook Missionary Baptist Church until their new church was completed. In 1970, the building was sold as a private residence.
